Machine Gun Kelly And Megan Fox Reveal Ayahuasca “Trip To Hell And Back”
Machine Gun Kelly recalled the mind-alter trip where he and his fiance Megan Fox took ayahuasca in Costa Rica.
Machine Gun Kelly revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that his recent ayahuasca experience was “one of the most important things that happened to me in my life.” His fiancé Megan Fox didn’t share his enthusiasm —and said the adventure was a “trip to hell and back.”
The two A-listers wanted to try the psychedelic drug in a proper setting, so they took a break from planning the perfect wedding and headed down to the Costa Rican jungle.

“I remember walking up—it was a circle of about 20 people—and you are in the forest or the jungle. You’re dieting; you’re not eating past 5 PM or drinking water or anything,” Kelly recounted. “I was the last person to take it. I remember everybody had one cup.”
The translator revealed to MGK that the shaman saw a “big shadow of darkness” behind him. The singer was handed him a second dose—much to the surprise of all the onlookers who only took one.
“I remember even going to the third night and Megan was like ‘I can’t, I can’t do this. I can’t go back. Her first night was rainbows and unicorns. It was great. Her second night it was ‘I don’t ever want to see that again,” he continued. “We were exercising some things out of us that we needed to get rid of. The plant was a medicine that really went inside. You could feel it working inside your body. Even after you left it stayed there. It was interesting.”
“All jokes aside It was one of the most important things that happened to me in my life,” the Emo Girl singer concluded.
Megan Fox Expected To Find Luxury In The Jungle, Instead, She Found Vulnerability And Experience.
Surprisingly, Megan thought she was in for a more glamorous experience. Reality set in when the Transformers actress found herself throwing up in the middle of the jungle next to twenty strangers. Although, she said it was a necessary step and “such a good bonding experience.”
“I was thinking it was like glamping—like it was gonna be some kind of five-star experience,” she told Jimmy Kimmel during a previous appearance. “There was nothing glamorous about it, and it’s all a part of making you vulnerable so you sort of surrender to the experience.”
Thankfully, Megan is out of the jungle and back in the lap of luxury. The actress is set to tie the knot with MGK sometime this year. The rocker surprised her with a stunning engagement ring last year while the couple vacationed in Puerto Rico.
