What Alexandra Daddario Has Been Doing

Alexandra Daddario landed some big roles in her early career, including 'Percy Jackson,' but has she been able to keep up the momentum?

Alexandra Daddario is a jack of all trades in the acting industry, and it’s not an exaggeration to call the New York actress a versatile performer. Since rising to fame thanks to her breakthrough portrayal of Annabeth in the Percy Jackson franchise, she’s starred in dozens of box office hits and TV series like Baywatch, Texas Chainsaw 3D, True Detective, and more.

“I try not to put too many expectations on things. I do have more knowledge and understanding of tracking and how things are gonna work, but True Detective, for example, which I’m sure we’ll get to, it’s like, I didn’t see what was gonna happen from that coming at all,” said the actress about her career’s retrospective in an interview.

So, what has she been up to since then? Alexandra Daddario is 35 years of age, and while her career is still far from over, it seems like she could have done more especially after such an explosive performance in Percy Jackson. Here’s everything she’s been up to lately.

Alexandra Daddario Starred In HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’

Alexandra found a career resurrection with widespread critical acclaims thanks to her appearance in the first season of HBO’s The White Lotus. The satirical anthology features an all-star cast which also includes Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Rothwell, and more. The blue-eyed beauty’s character, Rachel Patton, quickly became one of the fans’ favorites.

“I know what it’s like to be trapped in a situation that you don’t have the self-confidence to get out of,” she told Forbes about how she could relate to her on-screen character. “Those feelings of confusion that Rachel has—the constant over-thinking of “oh everything is ok, this is somehow my fault,” and oscillating between that and “I have to get out and I have to make the other person understand how I feel,” only to realize you’re up against a wall—those are very familiar to me, and very painful.”

Alexandra Daddario Ventured Into Voice Acting

Acting in front of a camera is one thing, but executing a cutting-edge voice capture is a whole new challenge even for an actress of Alexandra Daddario’s caliber. Back in 2020, the actress lent her voice for Lois Lane in the animated adaptation of Superman: Man of Tomorrow. The film was a critical success, chronicling the early life of Clark Kent as the everyman superhero. With that being said, it wasn’t Alexandra’s debut in voicing characters. Back in 2016, she voiced Theresa Johnson in an episode of Robot Chicken and as Dune Alpert in EA’s critically panned action-crime video game Battlefield Hardline.

Alexandra Daddario Secured A Main Role In ‘Why Women Kill’

You might know Alexandra as Summer Quinn from Baywatch or any other roles, but she also has several impressive parts in TV. One of them is the stunningly bisexual Jade on CBS All Access’ Why Women Kill back in 2019. Her performance only lasted one season before the series was transferred to Paramount for its second season in 2021.

Additionally, she’s also cast in the modern-day version of Can You Keep A Secret?. Sitting with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress explained how she ended up being one of the executive producers of the rom-com, “I was looking to do something very fun. I love romantic comedies; it’s just a nice, fun thing to work on and I sat down with Elise and we immediately connected, and I really believed in her and wanted to work with her.”

Alexandra Daddario’s Production Debut

In addition to Alexandra Daddario’s executive-producing venture in Can You Keep A Secret?, Alexandra also shared the producer roles with Mark Lane, Jarod Einsohn, James Harris, Robert Jones, and more in Marc Meyers’ 2019 horror thriller We Summon the Darkness. Released digitally and on-demand last year, the film takes place in the 1980s Indiana and chronicles the eerie trip of three best friends to a heavy-metal show and what’s gone wrong in their after-party.

Alexandra Daddario Is Engaged To Andrew Form

The actress has been linked with some big names in Hollywood. However, in 2021, the White Lotus star was engaged to A Quiet Place producer Andrew Form, as exclusively reported by Entertainment Tonight. The pair had been keeping their relationship on the DL until they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the White Lotus premiere.

“You’ve taken the worst moments of my life and soothed them, just knowing that you existed when they happened makes my heart fuller and more pieced together,” she said.

What’s Next For Alexandra Daddario?

So, what’s next for the 35-year-old Hollywood beauty? Surely, despite not having landed a lot of massive box office hits in the past few years, her career is still far from over. She’s currently gearing up for Matt Smukler’s upcoming coming-of-age flick, Wildflower, which she leads alongside Charlie Plummer and Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
