Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the Instagram post is Gal Gadot’s caption, which says, “There’s is nothing like a little Mac to boost up a shooting day.” It brings up the question of which project Gadot is on set for. It may be something unrelated to a film or television project, but still.
We know Gal Gadot has finished filming her scenes for the upcoming Disney live-action remake of Snow White. Gadot and her co-star Rachel Zegler recently promoted the Disney flick at D23 Expo. When describing her role as the Evil Queen, Gadot said it “was very different from what she done before.”
Since the live-action remake is in post-production, we know Gal Gadot can’t be working on the project unless she’s back for reshoots. She also recently wrapped filming on the upcoming Tom Harper spy thriller Heart of Stone. Gadot stars as Rachel Stone, a CIA agent who stands between her powerful peace-keeping organization and a valuable asset.
Regardless of what the actress is up to, at least she’s enjoying her favorite snack. This isn’t the first time we have seen Gal Gadot chomping on some Goodles. In August, the Wonder Woman actress shared on Instagram of her making the cheesy snack during her lunch break.
Gal Gadot’s fanbase probably is wondering when she’ll return as DC’s Wonder Woman. Gadot last appeared as the character in Patty Jenkin’s 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984. The film grossed $169 million worldwide during the global Covid-19 pandemic. Wonder Woman 1984 also suffered from numerous delays, having initially been scheduled to hit theaters several months before its eventual release.
In August, The Direct reported that Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins were set to return for Wonder Woman 3. However, Warner Bros. Discovery has yet to make an official announcement of a third Wonder Woman. During an interview with Forbes in April 2022, Gadot mentioned that the sequel was in the works.
Many fans and critics were divided over Wonder Woman 1984. Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab recently slammed the Gal Gadot-led comic book feature for its depiction of Egypt and Egyptians. Diab hails from Egypt, so it’s understandable why he would criticize the film’s portrayal of the Egypt setting and culture.
The film’s portrayal of Egypt is just one of the many aspects many have a problem with. Despite Gal Gadot and Chris Pine reprising their roles from the first film, Wonder Woman 1984 scored significantly lower on Rotten Tomatoes. The film’s underwhelming box office numbers also were a point of contention for fans.
Only time will tell whether Gal Gadot will return as Wonder Woman. Her performance in the 2017 film captured many fans’ attention and helped her become a household name. But with the actress receiving more outside projects, the chances of her returning to the world of DC soon seem slim.
