Throughout his career, the actor has appeared in numerous films, some of which became blockbusters while others fell short of meeting audience expectations. After the huge success of his 1994 film, Speed, fans expected the actor to reprise his role in the sequel to the film, Speed 2: Cruise Control.

His rejection of the film came as a surprise for his fans, Some even thought that Reeves had made a big mistake by turning down the film.
