Keanu Reeves flashes a smile and takes a cigarette break while filming scenes for John Wick: Chapter 4 in Paris in a smart suit
Keanu Reeves was seen on the set of John Wick: Chapter 4 in Paris on Saturday.
The 57-year-old movie star was spotted on location as he filmed scenes for the upcoming fourth installment of the hit action franchise.
The Matrix actor flashed a smile as he walked among the production crew and later took a smoke break.
Keanu’s co-star Ian McShane was also seen during the daytime shoot. McShane plays Winston, the owner of the New York Continental Hotel and a longtime friend of Reeves’ legendary assassin.
At the end of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Winston seemingly betrayed John when he shot him off the roof of the hotel in order to prove his loyalty to the film’s main antagonist The Adjudicator (Asia Kate Dillon).
McShane confirmed that he was returning to reprise his role in the franchise’s latest film in July.
Keanu held a neon orange life preserver and a black tote bag as he headed to film his scenes.
A large camera rig was set up on a small boat that was docked nearby, indicating that Reeves was shooting a scene on the water.
The Speed star was later seen walking through the set at night on his way to take a smoke break.
Reeves reclined back in a chair as he smoked a cigarette and held onto a bottle of orange Gatorade.
Last month, Keanu made an appearance on Today in which he discussed filming the John Wick movies and hinted at what fans can expect from the latest chapter of the saga.
‘They’re fun. They’re intense. We’re going for it,’ he said.
‘There’s some really amazing John Wick action and new characters and it’s been really fun to be playing the role again and to be telling this story. You know, there’s new characters and we’re opening up the world.
‘Right now we’re just shooting this crazy fight scene in the middle of traffic. So there’s car crashes, gun fights.’
John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released in theaters on May 27, 2022.
