Episodes of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead season 7 will stream one week early on AMC+. Fear the Walking Dead, which is a spinoff of the massively popular The Walking Dead, premiered on AMC in 2015 and originally centered on members of the Clark family led by Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) as they struggled to survive the early stages of the zombie apocalypse. Beginning in season 4, the series pivoted to focus more on Morgan (Lennie James), who crossed over from The Walking Dead. Season 6 of FTWD ended with a literal bang in June as nuclear warheads were detonated across Texas, and season 7 is scheduled to premiere in October.
Per ComicBook, new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead season 7 will be available to watch on premium streaming bundle AMC+ a full week before they air on AMC, starting with the season premiere. AMC+ subscribers will be able to watch the Fear the Walking Dead season 7 premiere on October 10, while everyone else will have to wait until the television broadcast on October 17. In going this route, FTWD is following in the footsteps of The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond, both of which are also making their episodes available to stream a week early.
The explosive finale of FTWD season 6 left viewers stunned and unsure about the fates of many of their favorite characters. Even those who survive the blast will be left facing an entirely new kind of post-apocalyptic world, as showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss have already teased that FTWD season 7 will be a “reinvention” of the series. For those fans who don’t want to wait any longer than necessary to see what happens next, the chance to watch Fear the Walking Dead a week early on AMC+ may well be worth it.
