Five new actors have been cast in the John Wick prequel The Continental. The prequel will air on Starz as a special event miniseries produced by Lionsgate Television. These five new faces will join actors Mel Gibson and Colin Woodell, whose castings were both announced in 2021. The series is being written by Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward, who worked on the 2019 series Wayne together. The miniseries will consist of three feature-length installments, each one having a reported budget of $20 million.
The most notable face added to The Continental cast is Supergirl’s Katie McGrath, who Deadline reports has joined as The Adjudicator. McGrath can also be seen in shows like Dracula and Merlin, as well as the film Jurassic World. Joining her, audiences will see Ray McKinnon (Rectify) as Jenkins, and Adam Shapiro (Never Have I Ever) as Lemmy. McKinnon is no stranger to limited series having been in FOX’s Dopesick in 2021 and Shapiro can be seen in the Netflix original series Sense8.
Mark Musashi (Fear The Walking Dead) and Marina Mazepa (Malignant) have also joined the cast as High Table assassins Hansel and Gretel. While Musashi has many film and TV credits under his belt, he has primarily been a stunt actor to this point. Mazepa is also a relatively fresh face to the acting world with only a few credits to her name. The two teaming up is sure to be a spectacle to see on screen. No official release date has yet to be revealed for The Continental.
