This Is Why Scarlett Johansson Thinks Social Media Is”A Little Strange”
She finds it odd to post details of her personal life on a public forum.
Scarlett Johansson isn’t a great fan of social media. The Avengers:Endgame star doesn’t even have a Twitter or a Facebook account!
Johansson has wowed millions with her unfettered acting chops, unmatched character arcs, and unparalleled badass action sequences in movies like The Avengers, Marriage Story, and Jojo Rabbit.
Yet there’s one place where this amazing woman has still not established her presence – social media.
Is She Trying To Smooth Out The Blurred Lines?
In March of 2011, Johansson’s private images found their way on the internet, which included some blurred naked shots of herself in front of a mirror which were intended for her then-husband Ryan Reynolds. This was all thanks to a cybercriminal named Christopher Chaney.
Of course, Scarlett sought legal help and ensured that all of her images were taken down from every site out there.
This might have prompted the actress to stay away from sharing personal snippets with the world, but, that’s not the whole story.
The real reason behind Scarlett’s distance from social networking sites is way different than what most would have imagined.
Away From Social Networking Sites, Scar Jo Is A Happy Lady
Scarlett Johansson is a happy lady when there’s a clear demarcation between her personal and her public life. This is a huge aspect to her inner peace.
While speaking to Interview about her reluctance to join social media, Johansson commented: “I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less than have to continuously share details about my everyday life. I am always surprised that certain actors have Twitter accounts. I guess they use it in a way that works for them. But I’d rather that people had less access to my personal life. If I could keep it that way, I’d be a happy lady.”
According to Micky, the Oscar-nominated actress just finds social media networking “a little strange”, as she has not grown up using social networking to relay all her personal moments. She’s just not interested in this whatsoever.
Nevertheless, Scarlett’s winning hearts with everything she does. As long as we see enough of this talented lady on the big screen, we’re not complaining!
