Scarlett Johansson Completely Embarrassed Brie Larson On The ‘Ellen Show’

Putting the behind the scenes controversy aside, Ellen DeGeneres has created so many memorable moments on the ‘Ellen Show’ since its inception back in 2003.

That still holds true in the final season, as Ellen had some memorable exchanges including one alongside Leah Remini. Though to some, it was just flat-out awkward instead of memorable.

This moment, alongside the two MCU stars, Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson started off as an innocent question, as the host asked the two how they met. The only thing, both stars had different answers, leading to an embarrassing moment for Brie Larson when she realized her good friend Scarlett was completely correct.

They became close friends, especially during their time together in the MCU. However, their first meeting took place way back in 2013, when Brie Larson was a less established star, in the film ‘Don Jon‘.

The film had a smaller budget but it wasn’t short on stars, with the likes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza, and Anne Hathaway all appearing in the film.

Brie Larson didn’t have many lines in the film, though she did have a blast on-set, especially when it came to learning from the others. She discussed her experience alongside Elle.

“I got to be the true observer the entire time. I worked on Don Jon for two weeks, but except for that one scene, I didn’t say anything! The best part of my job is getting to listen. I love that. I love getting to fall into what other people are saying and just react. In a way my character is like the audience: She’s in on the joke. When the audience is going, ‘You gotta be kidding me,’ she’s making the same face.”

Although the film was a great experience for the actress, as it turns out, she didn’t entirely remember Scarlett Johansson being in the film…

Scarlett Johansson Completely Embarrassed Brie Larson On The ‘Ellen Show’ After She Forgot About The First Time They Met

It started off as an innocent question, Ellen asking the two if they had met prior to their time in the MCU. Both said yes, however, confusion would soon follow.

Brie Larson had a puzzled look on her face, with Johansson questioning if she truly knew how they met. Larson would state, “at dinner,” with a scared and worried look on her face. In that instance, Johansson completely called her out.

“No! Clearly it made an impression on me but somebody else didn’t care. We worked together. We did this movie called ‘Don Jon’. And we did a couple of scenes together.”

Brie Larson would admit to her mistake, though she also made mention that she was considered a “glorified extra” in the film, alongside Scarlett who was the star of the movie.

It was a great moment and one that got some laughs from the crowd. Brie would also reveal that the two had dinner together on New Year’s thanks to a mutual friend – in her view, that was the first time they met… but yea, she was completely wrong.

Fans Had A Blast With The ‘Ellen Show’ Moment

Brie Larson is known for some awkward interview moments, heck compilations have been made pertaining to some weird moments that took place during interviews.

However, when it came to her interview alongside Scarlett and Ellen, fans enjoyed the moment and attributed their perfect chemistry to the fact that Brie is introverted while Johansson is an extrovert.
