Why Colin Jost Didn’t Help Scarlett Johansson Rehearse For ‘Black Widow’

Scarlett Johansson is easily one of the most recognized stars in Hollywood, and with her most recent hit film out this month, Black Widow, it’s clear that she is currently at the top of her game.
Following her entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in 2010, ScarJo is now set to wrap up portraying Natasha Romanoff after this movie. Luckily for Johansson not only can she continue to venture off into new roles, but she can focus on her marriage to Colin Jost.
Colin Jost first began dating ScarJo in 2017, and officially tied the knot after three years. Well, despite having Jost as a major support system, there is one thing he wouldn’t do. During Scarlett’s time rehearsing for Black Widow, Colin refused to rehearse lines with her, and here’s why!

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have since become quite the power couple since their nuptials back in 2020! The duo first met back in 2006 when ScarJo appeared on Saturday Night Live, where Colin remains as a writer and actor.
The actress is certainly no stranger to public relationships! Scarlett Johansson was married to fellow actor, Ryan Reynolds. The couple tied the knot in 2008 and ended things back in 2011. Johansson quickly moved on with Romain Dauriac, whom she married in 2014, and split from in 2017.
Luckily for Scarlett, her luck at finding love continued when she met fellow SNL star, Colin Jost.
Although they managed to swap a few giggles during their first encounter, it was not until Scarlett returned to the hit NBC series back in 2016, where they really hit it off!
While ScarJo and Colin live quite a personal life, especially when it comes to their relationship, the two have shared a few fun tidbits about their time together, including how their work plays into their relationship.
During the actress’s time doing promo for her MCU film, Black Widow, Scarlett revealed a detail regarding her time rehearsing for the film, claiming that Colin Jost didn’t help her at all!
Colin Jost Doesn’t Do Rehearsing
With Black Widow having finally premiered at the end of June 2021, Marvel fans across the world have been heading to theatres to witness all that Natasha Romanoff has to offer in her last go within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During the press tour, which was simultaneously going on during Colin’s press tour for his recent movie, Tom & Jerry, ScarJo told reporters that Jost refused to rehearse lines with her as he could not bear to hear any spoilers!
Colin was firm on not reading lines with Scarlett, even though the two were rehearsing linea for their respective films at the same time. Considering Jost is a fan of the MCU, it’s no surprise that he didn’t want to come by anything that would ruin the movie for him.
“He doesn’t like any spoilers, though, so I can’t tell him anything!” Scarlett said. “If I was in the middle of a big action set piece or sequence or whatever … he was just not wanting to hear anything about it,” she continued.
Johannson went on to say that Colin required “spoiler alerts” for when anything big was set to happen, otherwise he wanted no part in it at all, and we certainly don’t blame him!
