Fans of the hit series The Walking Dead would like to know when a new episode of the veteran series will arrive on their TV screens. The long-running zombie drama returned to AMC in February after a lengthy absence following its midseason finale in October but it has since taken another break from airing new episodes.
The series is currently in the midst of its eleventh and final season on the cable network. Premiering back in August 2021, it has allowed fans to catch up with Daryl Dixon, Carol Peletier, Negan and the returning Maggie Greene for one last time before the zombie show bows out later this year. And it’s a good thing too that we’re catching up with Daryl and Carol given that they are going to be leading one of two TWD spin-offs.
But just when does the show make a comeback? Will it air a new episode tonight? When will The Walking Dead season 11, episode 17 be able to make its presence felt.
Is The Walking Dead new tonight, August 7?
Unfortunately, The Walking Dead won’t be airing a new episode on AMC tonight. The show embarked on its second midseason hiatus of the season in April, that it will be off-screen for some time to come.
The show’s final season is split into three segments of eight episodes each. With two of those segments having wrapped their run, there are just eight episodes remaining.
When does The Walking Dead season 11 return?
The Walking Dead season 11 will return to on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Episode 17 was always expected to premiere in the fall of 2022, but the news was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con.
With the third and final chapter for The Walking Dead season 11 kicking off then, we also now know that the series finale will air in November, closing out TWD forever.
