While Jackie Chan has had a few controversies here and there, it’s undeniable that he has a huge following. And why wouldn’t he? Thanks to him, action movies got a much-needed breath of relief with his comedic timing. He also popularized Asian action in the American entertainment industry and set the bar for the action genre quite high.
Another reason why fans love Jackie Chan is because he does his own stunts. The man even holds the Guinness World Record for most stunts performed by a living actor! While people wanted to brand him as the next Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan was all about embracing and creating his own unique identity. Not to mention all the things he does to put goodness into society! It’s pretty clear why his fans love him so much.

A heartthrob is usually used to describe a man who is so attractive, people cannot stop falling for him. However, Jackie Chan’s attractiveness goes far beyond his good looks. The actor, who is about to turn seventy, has become synonymous with the action genre. Despite the fact that he started his acting career with small roles back in 1962, at just the age of five, Chan is still widely popular after six whole decades.
Even after all these years, fans cannot help but admire the actor for more reasons than one. Here’s what Twitter has to say as they swoon over Chan,
NO ONE BETTER NOT FIND NO DIRT ON HIM. Leave that shit buried wherever it is and let us have our love for Jackie Chan untainted please! https://t.co/HqoPs4V9iX

It looks like Keanu Reeves might need to step out of the way as Chan is here to take his spot! We cannot wait to see what the Rush Hour actor has in for his fans as he has a long, long way to go, for sure. After all, he’s only 69 years young!

Another Reason Why We Love Jackie Chan
Chan has made over 150 films in his career but there’s something much greater than his filmography – his charity work. Growing up in a poor family, Chan dedicated his life to charity and social work. In 1988 he established the Jackie Chan Foundation which helped underprivileged children get access to sports. The foundation also supported many performing arts. The actor has also been a UNICEF Ambassador since 2004.
Chan also raised $5 million for Haiti Flood victims as well as $5.2 million in donations for Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution. He also helped raise $29 million for drought relief in China. In 2002, Chan went on to establish the Dragon Heart Foundation intended to help the underprivileged populations of China.
If that’s not all, Chan once promised to give half of his wealth to charity, however, he later stated that he will be giving every last penny to charitable causes, instead of his family. About why he won’t spare even a dollar for his son, the actor stated, “If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my own money.”
All of this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Chan’s incredible work for the betterment of society. No wonder why he has fans who love him through thick and thin!
