Just as the first sign of actual spring weather starts to emerge and we start thinking about our summer wardrobes, Megan Fox has gone and given us all the beach attire inspo we need with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pics. Seriously, trust us when we say she looks unreal in every single shot.
For the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, there are four covers in total featuring model Brooks Nader, singer Kim Petras (the second trans cover model for the publication), and author and entrepreneur Martha Stewart (who’s 81 years old FYI), alongside Megan. All the women look incredible, but we need to take a minute to talk about Megan’s cover in particular.
Shot on location in the Dominican Republic, the actress can be seen kneeling in the surf wearing what we can only describe as a fishnet naked dress and very little else. Greg Swales, the photographer, shared the cover on Instagram – check it out:
The dress by Celia Kritharioti is constructed from loose strings of beads to create an open-weave fishnet effect and is one of the most intricate and see-through naked dresses we’ve seen. Underneath the couture creation, Megan has on a pair of SKIMS gold bikini bottoms that blend in with the jewelled dress. Her hair is worn down in loose waves.
Some of our other favourite looks from the shoot that can be seen in the full issue include a JÉBLANC halterneck bikini top constructed entirely out of individual strings of coloured gemstones. Megan has on a matching silver chain and gemstone skirt from the same brand, worn over nude bikini bottoms from Frankies Bikinis.
Both of these ‘fits make Megan look like a literal mermaid with the barely-there design and all-over embellishment detailing. And thanks to the current mermaidcore trend, it’s a lot easier to get her look than you might think as the high street has yet again come up with the goods.
From sequin adornments, bewjewelled straps, diamante trims and beaded decorations, find our edit of the best swimwear on the high street inspired by Megan Fox and that nails mermaidcore too.
