Though Shazam!: Fury of the Gods did not set the box office on fire, it still garnered a lot of hype for the cameo of a celebrated DC superhero. After Superman made a surprise appearance at the end of the first film, the second film as indicated in the trailer, saw Gal Gadot appearing not once, but twice as her iconic DC character Wonder Woman.
While there are no talks of Shazam 3 in the making as yet, the film’s star Zachary Levi had hoped for another DC cameo, if a 3rd film were to materialize. The actor, while speaking of the various possibilities, zoned in on one popular superhero from the franchise whom he wished to see in the future.

Zachary Levi Wants A Green Lantern Cameo
Despite Shazam 2 failing to impress fans and critics, the film, like its predecessor was always anticipated for its cameo features. After Superman’s guest appearance in Shazam!, fans were treated to the presence of another DC favorite, Wonder Woman, who featured in two scenes of Shazam 2. When actor Zachary Levi was asked the hypothetical question of who he would like to see gracing the screen in a cameo if a 3rd film were to be made, the actor responded by saying,
“That’s a really good question. Maybe Green Lantern? I’d like to see Green Lantern help us fight the hordes of undead. I think that would be really cool.”
Speaking of the realistic possibility of making a 3rd installment of Shazam!, Levi said that while he wasn’t certain of the franchise’s future or the extent of his character in the DCU, he would love to continue playing the role which he holds very dear to his heart.

Zachary Levi Fanboyed Over Gal Gadot
One of the highlights of Shazam! 2 was the appearance of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in not one but two brief segments, with the end segment featuring the superhero at an important juncture. With Billy Batson aka Shazam being known to famously have a crush on the superhero, her presence in the film lived up to the hype. Zachary Levi was gushing in his praise for Gal Gadot and said,
“I was just stoked that she was down to it. She crushes it. It was really cool that Gal was down to play in our sandbox. And I love that Billy is so in love with her. He’s so infatuated, and he’s so nervous! That was fun to tap into. It felt like going back to being my 17-year-old self.”
Due to the tricky scheduling involving Gadot and her busy calendar, the makers were forced to shoot her scenes with a body double while the actor shot her scenes separately elsewhere. Despite these difficulties, the end result exceeded expectations thanks to the competent and seamless edits, according to Zachary Levi.
