Angie’s Deceased Mother Fought A Long Battle With Ovarian Cancer
On World Ovarian Cancer Day 2023, which is observed every year on May 8, Angelina Jolie took to Instagram to pay an emotional tribute to her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer on January 27, 2007. While sharing her fears, Angelina Jolie also spread awareness about ovarian cancer, urging every woman out there to undergo mammograms, blood tests, or ultrasounds, as preventive measures. While extending love to all those who lost their lives to this type of cancer, the Maleficent actress wrote:
“…And to other women, please take the time to look after yourself and go for your mammograms and blood tests or ultrasounds, particularly if you have a family history of cancer.”
