For now, the new era of DC Comics superheroes in cinema still remains very vague. Because James Gun doesn’t give up much on this subject. Including concerning the actors and actresses who will be retained. However, the person concerned still recently confirmed three of them in their “functions”. In this case, it is Xolo Maridueña, discovered in Blue Beetle but also, Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and finally – and above all – John Cena in the excellent series Peacemaker.

Regarding Jason Momoa or even Gal Gadot, nothing was mentioned, however. Bad sign ? Our nose tells us yes…
“Nothing is canon until Creature Commandos next year, a sort of appetizer for the DCU and then a deeper dive into the universe with Superman: Legacy. It’s very human to want to understand everything all the time, but I think it’s okay to be confused about what’s happening in the DCU since no one has seen anything from the DCU yet. “And, yes, some actors will play characters they have portrayed in other stories and some plot points might be consistent with plot points from dozens of films, series and animated projects which have been produced by DC in the past. (…) Xolo Maridueña will continue to play Blue Beetle in the DCU, Viola Davis will play Amanda Waller and John Cena will be Peacemaker.”
Words that don’t leave us very optimistic about Aquaman 2, which will be released next December and which, obviously, is not in favor with James Gunn…
